This book documents and analyzes the rich indigenous architectural systems of Northeast India—making their knowledge accessible to students, architects, researchers, and curious learners.
Far from being static relics, these systems represent vibrant and dynamic relationships between materials, construction techniques, climate, site, culture, and community, offering valuable insights for contemporary architectural practice.
